||The Town of Bassano is currently accepting applications for a full-time Community Development Officer. The position will be reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and contributes to the goals, values and success of the Town.
The Community Development Officer will provide leadership through community involvement that promotes well-being, while understanding the social and environmental health of the local economy.
Duties of this position will include:
Develop strategies to further economic, tourism and community economic goals;
Develop networks and partnerships with business and community organizations;
Develop media and communications plans;
Complete duties of a Development Officer;
Creation of resource materials and website development;
Ability to write grants;
Event planning and promotion;
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Marketing or combination of education and experience;
Minimum of 2 years working experience in community and economic development, marketing and public relations leadership skills;
Ability to identify and promote community economic development initiatives;
Effective verbal, presentation and listening communication skills;
Excellent written communications skills;
Effective negotiation and mediation skills;
Time management skills and ability to prioritize;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe;
Valid Drivers License

Salary will be based on education and experience. This is a one year contract position with the possibility of extension.

||Feed Mill Maintenance
||Until a suitable person is found
||Purpose & Scope: The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the Feed Mills business goals and objectives. Including, installation, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and Feed Mill Facilities.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the feed mills facilitys equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform tasks as assigned by the Feed Mill Manager or Supervisor.
||Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Have the ability to obtain boiler certification within one year of being assigned to this function.* *
