Located 140Km (80miles) east of Calgary and 160Km (95miles) west of Medicine Hat on the number one Highway. (View on map) We are on the western edge of the County of Newell #4 and 50 km west of the City of Brooks. The Town of Bassano was incorporated to Town status in 1911. The deep roots of this town can be seen in several original buildings still standing in Bassano. 1282 people call Bassano home and major employers are agriculture, oil and gas, manufacturing as well as the retail sector.
